t’s amazing what dog trainers can teach their “students”– from simple games of fetch, shake a paw and sit to more involved tricks like riding skateboards or dribbling soccer balls. Seeing Eye dogs that assist visually impaired individuals are amazing. Police dogs trained to sniff out drugs or trained to find missing clues from crime scenes – brilliant. Those trained to help find victims amidst tons of debris and rubble as in 9/11 or tornadoes – awesome. In these dogs we see the results of years of repetitious training, reinforced with tons of rewards for obedience. Are we as Christians much different when it comes to learning?
