Many wonder what it was like growing up the “PKs” – preacher’s kids – of an internationally acclaimed pastor and media lightning rod. What did Jerry Jr. and Jonathan inherit and learn from their dad? And what about their mom – whom Jonathan describes as “the rock in our family?” Here’s the story of what it’s like to grow up in a family with a father who was famous for his Christianity and how his sons now try to fill his shoes.

t wasn’t long after Rev. Jerry Falwell had passed away in May 2007 that his two sons, Jonathan and Jerry Jr. – heirs-apparent to the mega-church and university he had founded – looked at each other and said, “How did Dad ever do all this himself?”

To have the privilege of helping him onstage is overwhelming. I wish you could see what happens in the audience when we tell them that he had a fall and that he has had memory loss. Please Sign In
