ave you ever not been invited to a party? Not being invited hurts, especially when all of your friends or practically everyone you know is invited. You may begin to think about how bored or lonely you will be when everyone else is at the party, and you’ll wonder why you weren’t invited.

As teens, we may feel “uncool” when we’re not invited to a party. But I think that the sooner we forget about the party, the better. Making plans to go see a movie or just hang out with others at the mall can cheer you up and get your mind off the party. Forgetting about what you are missing will allow you to have your own fun. Who knows, you might even have more fun than if you were at the party; there’s always the chance that the party might not have been that great anyway.

Be the one doing the inviting. Have your own party!

Another good way to get over not being invited is to have your own party. Hey, if you’re not invited, why not be the one doing the inviting? Having your own party guarantees that you will have some fun. Invite everyone. You’ve been through the feeling of not being invited, and it wouldn’t be fair to put others through it. Plus, by inviting everyone you know, you can make more friends and, in turn, you may be invited to more parties.

Face it: in life, there is always a party that we will not be invited to. However, as corny as it may sound, God always invites us to “party” with him. He always openly invites you to accept him into your heart. All the while, you can enjoy the treats and refreshments of spending eternity with the One who loves you most. God’s party never ends. Celebrate God’s glory with everyone you know. So go ahead, R.S.V.P. to God’s invitation and come to the party where the party favors are miracles. Welcome to the party of a lifetime - literally!
