very day we receive data. Television, newspapers, e-mails, Web sites, books and conversations transmit information to our brains and our hearts. But some raw data can be harmful to the mind and heart. Like murky, bacteria-laden surface water headed to the treatment plant, raw communications often contain harmful elements. Just as water treatment plants use filters to screen out debris and bacteria, Christians can use communication “filters” to protect themselves from negative or harmful messages.
