Carry Each Other’s Burdens

Where can Americans without health insurance get assistance for their medical bills? Around 40,000 Christians are members of Medi-Share, an organization where members share in paying each other’s medical bills. Based on Scripture, upheld in prayer, and focusing on healthy lifestyles, Christian health care sharing is an important alternative.

A

round 40,000 Americans who are listed on the rolls of the uninsured are part of a program called Medi-Share, a ministry of Christian Care Ministry, Inc. (CCM). CCM is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to help Christians help each other. Medi-Share allows members to share payment of their medical bills on a voluntary basis. They point to Galatians 6:2 as their foundation: “Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

To have the privilege of helping him onstage is overwhelming. I wish you could see what happens in the audience when we tell them that he had a fall and that he has had memory loss. Please Sign In
