From Palm Trees to Olive Trees

Bad things happened to Jesus during the week starting with Palm Sunday. What can we learn from the way he reacted to the events that we can apply to our own lives?

esus arrived in Jerusalem riding on the back of an untrained donkey foal. His followers as well as a great multitude spread palm tree branches on the roadway, crying out, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” The Triumphal Entry is recorded in all four Gospels. We celebrate it as Palm Sunday. It was the start of a week that would include denials by Peter, betrayal by Judas,
false trials, beatings, a crown of thorns and finally crucifixion and burial. Doesn’t sound very triumphal does it?

To have the privilege of helping him onstage is overwhelming. I wish you could see what happens in the audience when we tell them that he had a fall and that he has had memory loss. Please Sign In
