Unshakeable Significance

What should parents do to build a healthy sense of self-worth in their children? And should this effort be handled in a different manner if the parents are Christians?

hey truly believed they were doing the right thing. Parents for the first time, Karen and Darren were captivated with their beautiful new son. As he grew, it was obvious Tanner had many gifts, both academically and athletically. Along the way, Mom and Dad were always there cheering him on and showering him with praise. “We spent an awful lot of time telling him how smart and great he was. As he got older, we realized we’d created a bit of an egomaniac who perceived his value as tied to his accomplishments,” says Karen.

To have the privilege of helping him onstage is overwhelming. I wish you could see what happens in the audience when we tell them that he had a fall and that he has had memory loss. Please Sign In
